Anna Stork is the co-inventor of the LuminAID solar-powered inflatable light, which she designed with Andrea Sreshta as graduate students at Columbia University in 2010 to help people affected by natural disasters. The two co-founded LuminAID in 2011.

In 2015 LuminAID won an investment from Mark Cuban on Shark Tank, and the company was acquired by Adventure Ready Brands in 2021. Anna was named a Kauffman Global Scholar by the Kauffman Foundation in 2012.
