Wendy Fisher serves as President of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and is a globally recognized advocate for artists and cultural organizations.

She chairs the advisory board of the Kirsh Foundation, whose philanthropic approach is inspired by the maxim that teaching a man to fish creates a lifetime of possibility. Her work in philanthropy is shaped by more than two decades as a clinical psychologist, informing a deep commitment to strengthening community, opportunity, and human potential.

Her philanthropic achievements include the founding of the A4 Arts Foundation in Cape Town, a project space that connects African artists and cultural practitioners to an international network. She is also the founder of Lockdown University, a free online learning platform that brings leading voices in arts, culture, history, and current affairs to a global audience.

Wendy has received numerous honors for her work, including the Freedom of the City of London Award, Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization Philanthropy Pioneer Award, the Republic of Albania Exceptional Civil Merits Presidential Award, and an honorary doctorate from Yeshiva University. Her own artwork has been exhibited at the London Olympic Village, and she was selected to represent England in the international exhibition Women and Europe.

She serves on the boards of key cultural institutions, including the Tate Americas Foundation and Public Art Fund, and sits on the board of a diversified global investment company with holdings in food distribution and real estate.
