Since her appointment in 2016, María Cecilia has played a pivotal role in launching and coordinating Women’s Entrepreneurship Day celebrations in Argentina. She organized the inaugural WED event in Rosario, establishing Argentina as a regional leader in the global movement to empower women through entrepreneurship. Her long-standing commitment and impact led to her appointment as Global President of WED Ambassadors, a role in which she supports the development of WEDO initiatives in several South American countries.

María Cecilia is the Founder and President of CRIAR – Comunidad de Mujeres Emprendedoras, a nonprofit organization that has empowered more than 500 women through training, mentorship, and entrepreneurial development programs. Through CRIAR, she continues to create inclusive spaces for women to learn, grow, and lead.

In addition to her nonprofit work, María Cecilia serves on the executive board of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Argentina (ASEA). As one of the first women to hold a leadership role in the organization, she has been instrumental in advancing diversity and gender equity in Argentina’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Her leadership extends to organizing global empowerment initiatives, including the launch of TEDxRosarioWomen and co-founding Argentina’s Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk in Rosario. These programs reflect her commitment to increasing the visibility of women leaders and creating platforms for mentorship, collaboration, and community-building.

María Cecilia has also worked with public institutions as a coordinator of entrepreneurship programs for the Municipality of Rosario, helping to design and implement workshops and initiatives that support local entrepreneurs. She is also a sought-after public speaker and trainer, delivering talks on leadership, negotiation, and women’s empowerment throughout Latin America.

Her work has helped to elevate national awareness of women’s entrepreneurship, and she has been an advocate for the official recognition of November 19 as Women’s Entrepreneurship Day in Argentina.
