Rebecca Alvarez Story is the founder and CEO of Bloomi, a clean, plant-based intimacy company at the forefront of normalizing sexual wellness in the US and Mexico. An award-winning sexologist, entrepreneur, and speaker, she is building intimacy essentials designed for all bodies, free of the unregulated toxic ingredients found in most products on the market.
Rebecca is one of the few Latinas in the US to raise over a million in venture capital, and in 2022 she led the first Latina-founded brand to launch nationwide in the sexual wellness aisle at Target, since expanding to CVS and Amazon. Her track record speaks for itself: over $6M in sales, ten consecutive months of 25%+ month-over-month growth on Amazon, and a $4M seed round backed by investors including Wendy Diamond, Sixty8 Capital, Fab Ventures, and Act One Ventures.
A proud daughter of Latine immigrants, Rebecca created her own major in Women’s Health & Sexuality at UC Berkeley before earning an MA in Sexology, and she is a Stanford LBAN alum and 2026 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Well+Good, Refinery29, New York Magazine’s The Cut, and on the front page of TODAY.com, and she has been named a Changemaker by Well+Good and to the Forbes Next 1000. Beyond Bloomi, Rebecca is a committed champion of BIPOC and Latina founders, treating her customers as stakeholders and building community wherever she goes.
