Mitzi Perdue is an author, journalist, and humanitarian advocate using storytelling and advocacy to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. She is the Co-Founder of Mental Help Global, an organization focused on advancing awareness and solutions for critical global issues, including human trafficking. As a war correspondent, Perdue has reported from Ukraine, publishing more than 200 articles based on firsthand interviews and field reporting that have highlighted the realities of war, human trafficking, landmines, and the experiences of those affected by conflict.

Beyond her journalism, Perdue has dedicated decades to documenting leadership, resilience, and social impact through her writing. She is the author of several books, including Tough Man, Tender Chicken: Business and Life Lessons from Frank Perdue, which explores leadership lessons from Perdue Farms, as well as I Didn’t Bargain for This, her memoir about growing up in the hospitality industry. She has written more than 1,800 articles covering topics ranging from family businesses and agriculture to biotechnology, environmental issues, philanthropy, and women’s health.

Perdue also brings deep expertise in generational leadership and organizational culture, drawing from her experiences with two influential family enterprises: the Henderson Estate Company, the predecessor to Sheraton Hotels, and Perdue Farms.
